Todays receipe is Idli upma which I prepared from left-over idlis. If you are bored to eat the idlis try it in this way...


Idlis - 6 to 7 ( nicely crumbled)
Onion - small size ( nicely chopped)
Green chillies - 4 to 5
red chillies - 2
Salt to taste
Oil as required
Curry leaves -  5 to 6

For Tempering/Seasoning

Cumin seeds -1 tsp
Mustard seeds - t tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Bengal gram - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp


1. Put some oil in a kadai . Once it is hot, add all the ingredients mentioned under tempering.
2. Once they are golden brown, add onions, green chillies, red chillies, and curry leaves. Roast them nicely.
3. Now add salt. Add the crumbled idlies, and mix it well.
4. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes and serve. Thats it.
